About BorgWarner Performance Turbos
In 2002, the aftermarket group of BorgWarner Turbo Systems started
a program named AirWerks. This independent aftermarket program was created to assist
the needs of BorgWarner distributors who currently sell into the market of competitive
motorsports or are assisting those customers who are looking for a little more performance
to a factory turbocharged car or to retrofit a naturally aspirated engine.
The AirWerks program performance line originally featured an assortment of carefully
chosen K and S series turbochargers and parts to meet a wide array of high-performance
engine requirements. Today the AirWerks series is a key component of the aftermarket’s
performance turbocharger segment from BorgWarner Turbo Systems.
The feature product of the performance turbocharger offering is the EFR (Engineered for
Racing) Series. EFR is currently the most advanced turbocharger of its type engineered
for the performance aftermarket. Crammed full of attributes that appeal to the performance
car enthusiast, EFR is at the pinnacle of what can be done with the current state
of the art.
Both programs address the high performance needs of passenger cars with a special
focus on the fast growing pickup truck market.
